Poker Run Rules
- Absolutely no alcoholic beverages until the Poker Run is OVER.
- All participating poker run occupants must wear personal floatation devices.
- Driver must wear kill switch lanyards while boat is underway.
- No sitting on top of the seats or sun pads while boat is on the plane.
- Divide event starts up into groups based on speed.
- Medical/rescue personnel onboard at least one boat in every group.
- No passing the pace boat before the start flag is dropped
- Minimum separation of 100' fore and aft and 50' side by side between boats on plane.
- Written instructions/charts handed out by organizers with appropriate speed and safety notations.
- Strict speed limits in congested areas.
* Note: If five of a kind such as 10, 10, 10, 10 and 10 does occur, it will beat all of the below combinations. Also, all ties will be handled by a team choice of either splitting the prize or the highest cut of the deck.
28' MINIMUM BOAT LENGTH REQUIRED FOR ENTRY
1. Straight Flush
The highest possible hand: All five cards of the same suit and in sequence, as the 6,7,8,9 and 10 of diamonds. The highest ranking straight flush is the 10, J, Q, K and Ace of one suit called a Royal Flush
2. Four of a Kind
Such as four aces or four sixes, it does not matter what the fifth, unmatched card is.
3. Full House
Three cards of one rank and two cards of another rank, such as 8,8,8,4,4
4. Flush
Five cards of the same suit , but not all in the same sequence.
5. Straight
Five cards in sequence, but not all of the same suit.
6. Three of a Kind
Such as 10,10,10,2,3
7. Two Pair
Such as Q, Q, 7,7, 4
8. One Pair
Such as Q,Q,1,7,4. This beats any hand that does not contain a pair.
9. No Combination
The lowest rank is the hand that does not contain any of the above. This hand is rated by the highest card it contains. the ace-high will beat a king-high and so-on
