Important things to look for on your website stats are:
- How many people added your website to their favorites list (Look in the box titled Miscellaneous)
- What Spiders / Robots visited your site from Google (googlebot), Yahoo (Inktomi or Yahoo Slurp), & MSN (MSNBot) (Look in the box titled Robots/Spiders visitors)
- How many Unique Visitors, Visits, & Page Views (ignore Hits & Bandwidth)
- What are your Top Viewed Pages on your website? (Look in the box titled “Pages-URL”)
- How many visitors did other sites send your way? Maybe you are advertising on another site, find out how much traffic they brought to your site. (Look in the box titled “Connect To Site From” and look at Links from an external page)
- What Keyphrases are people typing into the search engines and then clicking to your website? (Look in the box titled Search Keyphrases)

+++ UPDATING YOUR WEBSITE ON YOUR OWN
If you would like to update your website on your own we highly recommend taking one of our classes so that you are familiar with the system and the functionality. Our class schedule is posted here and space is on a first come first serve basis:

Your website domain name ( www.yourcompanyname.com ) can be managed by us or by a third party source. We charge a flat rate of $35 per year and that automatically renews your domain name as well for that year. If you have your domain name with another registrar or company and would like to transfer it to us to manage the cost is $35 to transfer it and it renews the domain name for another year. If your domain name is managed by Elite, your credit card on file will automatically renew the domain name yearly for $35.00.
Elite became certified as a domain registrar to protect our clients best interest. You can register new domains or transfer your domain to our services on your own at http://www.WindyCityWebNames.com . It is important that if you are managing your domain name or a third party service that your name is renewed so that your website does not go down.

When logging a request please indicate your domain name and attach any files or supporting material so that we may quote you properly. By adding your request to the support board it will streamline the process so that your task is accomplished in the quickest and most accurate format possible. We also offer monthly support contracts for clients that offer a discounted hourly rate depending on how many hours of service you subscribe to monthly.

Now that you’ve built the website does not necessarily mean that they will come. Your website will need a marketing plan and goals. Elite can work with you on your specific marketing needs whether your target audience is local or on the other side of the world. We work with several local marketing streams, pay per click on Google, Yahoo, & MSN, pay per call, video ads, mobile ads, monthly newsletters, press releases, and other marketing verticals. We also install Analytics into our clients’ websites that have an internet marketing contract in place. Analytics is like website statistics turbo charged. It shows us more closely what keywords people have typed in, what ads they click, company names of people visiting your site, and so much more. Our internet marketing clients receive a report monthly between the 5th-15th of the month detailing how their marketing campaigns are doing and how their natural search engine optimization is working.

Wondering when you will see the search engines begin to index your content and for you to come up high for your keywords in your industry? This takes time and could take anywhere from 3 months to 1 year (we’ve had clients indexed after a month of going live). This will depend on several factors including what technology your old website was built in, if you are doing internet marketing, are you driving traffic to the site, and so many other factors.

Elite can send out your monthly newsletters for you and track who’s opened the email, who’s clicked on a link, who’s sent it to a friend, who’s email bounced or did not go through, and many other reports. Some of our sites that we build have a Press Releases or News section. Often it can be too time consuming for our clients to keep this up to date. We have several PR agencies that we have worked with that we can recommend that will handle your press releases and send us copies so that we can update your website.
